Concept, design, illustration
The personal web site of me, George McKnight - graphic designer, illustrator, conceptualist, amateur photographer, surfer, anarchist, urban monk.
Soultank has been around since May 2000, taking on various guises as technologies/software/standards have evolved. The site has generally been a drop off for my thoughts, ideas, artwork, concepts.
The current design came about after my recent hols to Peurto Rico, where I took with me a great book by a writer going by the name of Will Elliot called 'The Pilo Family Circus', a strange and fanatstic first novel for him, which reminded me of Rob Zombie's celluloid gruesomes 'House of 1,000 Corpses' and 'The Devil's Rejects', and one of the main characters, 'Captain Spaulding'.
I've tried to design the site so that it is as accessible to most people as possible, but if you find that there are certain areas you have a problem with, please let me know, and the reason why, regards George (dod) McKnight.

04 April 2009 - 'Paper Panda' was a simple idea I had to create a loveable panda in such a way that it looked as though it may have been made out of sections of paper, or an origami stylee. I found a Chinese poem that I used to add some texture to the background, and thought it a good idea to use some choppers in silhouette following the panels on it’s back section. I then finished it off with some soft ‘flower like’ shapes on the right hand side, using the same shades of red used in the text.
